Choose the object, then the institution
Two institutions may share an artist’s name, and a museum may operate several locations. Start from the object note and follow its named museum. Decide whether you are visiting a collection, an inhabited architectural work or a living garden.
Check four things at the primary source
Confirm the exact location, opening date, booking requirement and the work’s present visibility. Check access needs before buying. If a source only confirms ownership, ask the museum about display. Keep the date of your check with your notes.
Treat travel as a separate decision
Meise is outside central Brussels; Jette, Schaerbeek and Saint-Gilles are not a single gallery corridor. Consult current public transport and allow a buffer. The site does not invent live journey times or guarantee a route is step-free.
Carry a compact visit sheet
Save up to three objects, record the official visitor link and one question per object. Use the browser-local collection to print your list. Historical 2016 passes and event prices are not offered by this website.
- Whole image — Describe the strongest visible contrast.
- Locate a detail — Follow a colour, gesture or line.
- Compare — Test your observation on a second work.
- Question — Ask what evidence could change your reading.
